This petition has been created to urge Nations within the Commonwealth to stand for the defence of Gibraltar.

Gibraltar has has been threatened by a Spanish invasion, tensions have always been high between Gibraltar and Spain but tensions have flared over the past months, primarily this past week.

Spain claim's the land which has been held by Britain since 1713 is their territory.

"Gibraltar belongs to the Gibraltarians and we want to stay British" - Gibraltar's Chief Minister

In this petition we ask nations within the Commonwealth to put out a statement in support of Gibraltar, and British Sovereignty over the territory.

We ask nations supporting such to publish a punishment against Spain should they invade, these punishments could range from trade embargo's to declarations of war.
