Change the name of the "Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge" to the "Leonard P. Zayn Malik Bridge"
The Issue
On Wednesday, March 25th 2015, Zayn Malik became the first member of One Direction to leave the band. In the official statement on One Direction's Facebook page, he writes, "I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right." It's now time for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to do what feels right: Rename our beloved bridge to honor both Leonard P. Zakim, a local civil rights pioneer, AND Zayn Malik, an international pop-culture icon.
