Permanently Revoke Dr. Mahavir Singh Rekhi's Veterinary License

This petition had 67,253 supporters

Dr. Mahavir Singh Rekhi was found guilty of professional misconduct by the College of Vetrinarians of Ontario (CVO) this summer. This "professional misconduct" was animal abuse, plain and simple.

A series of videos have been released showing Rekhi punching, choking, and abusing animals in unimaginably horrific ways. Videos show Rekhi holding cats by their tails and slamming them against cupboards, beating a dog with metal clippers on the snout and choking a dog so violently it defecates. Employees have stated that animals were so terrified of Rekhi that when they encountered him a second time, they would immediately urinate in fear.

After investigation, Dr. Rekhi's veterinary license was suspended for 10 months and is eligible to reduce that suspension to 4 months is he completes a series of half-day "mentorship sessions".

Rekhi could be treating animals again as early as December.

We cannot let this happen. If you have a pet, you understand how important they are to a family. If you have a heart, you will sign this petition and prevent any more innocent animals from horrific abuse. Please, we need to be their voice, we need to protect our pets.
