The College board has introduced an AP European History course that teaches of the history of the continent of Europe. While Europe does have an extensive amount of history. This course will help educate students on the history of Africa, a continent that has had civilizations from Egypt to the Kingdom of Kongo. Many students are taught to believe Africa is a desolate land which hasn't had any history, a fact that simply isn't true. Being skipped from many world history courses already, it's time for the US to learn about Africa! Eurocentric education is too common and it requires change!
