The 54 acres to the east of East Cobb Park is up for rezoning and will be going beore the Planning Commission and Board of Commissioners on March 3, 2015 and March 17, 2015 for final approval.  The developer, Isakson Living, is proposing a 481-unit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) including 8 large 4-story apartment buildings, 3 large 2-story buildings plus 65 homes.  The size and scale of the project is too intense for this area surrounded by 5 subdivisions, thousands of nearby residential homes and the park.  We are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to vote NO to Z-2, the proposed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) rezoning request.  The present plan is much too intensive for the proposed location.
