Save a family of Bald Eagles!

The Issue

The City of Virginia Beach is trying to obtain a permit that will allow the destruction of a Bald Eagle nest on the corner of Kempsville and Princess Anne road. This nests current occupants include two adult Eagles and three hatchlings. Eagles usually spend 1-2 years preparing their nest and are known to return to a successful nest site each year. The destruction of this nest will disrupt the Eagles reproductive cycle thus harming the once endangered species. So please ask yourselves this; is the revenue of a future apartment complex worth the potential extermination of members of a once endangered species that signifies our country's stance on freedom and justice for all living things?

By signing this petition you can be the protector of a family of Bald Eagles and give hope for the reproductive success of an endangered species living in the Virginia Beach community.
