Valdez, Alaska is the birthplace of Commander William T. Riker from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The installation of a life sized statue of the Commander would serve to both bring valuable tourism traffic through the town, and would act as a reminder to us all to work everyday to achieve the ideal human form he represents. 

He would ideally be holding a fish in a victorious pose.
