Save Top O' Rock!

The Issue

Arguably the most iconic structure in the city of Charleston, Henry Elden's Top O' Rock home has recently been hit with a string of vandalisms and now faces demolition. Losing this landmark would be a blow to all Charlestonians and West Virginians, as well as anyone aware of the importance of preserving our local history and architecture. As concerned citizens, we are loudly decreeing "No!" to the idea of this home being destroyed, and are raising our voices to inform the City of Charleston, the contracting firm hired to do the demolition, the property owners (the Rashids), and anyone else in a position of power that we will not allow this. It is far too important for all of us to lose. It must be saved. For the sake of our history. For the sake of our identity. For the sake of our future.
