The notion that Electoral College has the power to overshadow the votes of the populous goes against the very concept of Democracy. I believe that if the votes of the citizens can truly matter, they must be the one and only factor in the voting process. As such, the Electoral College must be disbanded in order to preserve the idea of Democracy in the USA.
