In 2016 Mitch McConnell blocked  President Obama's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, Merrick Garland. He claimed that President Obama could not appoint a Justice in an election year. He argued that "the American people should have a say in the court's direction" and wait until after the election.  Now with the tragic death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, McConnell has announced he will defy his own stated rule and move ahead in the Senate to appoint the next Justice. By doing this McConnell is acknowledging  that he successfully appropriated a Supreme Court Justice appointment from President Barrack Obama and every person who voted for him . Tell him NO ! Wait until after the election and let the winner choose the next Justice.
