GET NICHOLS OUT!

GET NICHOLS OUT!
The Issue
To The Citizens of Skiatook, OK
On, Sunday, June 12 my cousin, Chelsea, picked up two puppies from the ditch drain in her front yard at C and Elm St, and took them inside. She immediately called me and asked what she should do. I told her the ACO was off until Monday morning, to take them in and put them in a crate until Monday morning. On Monday, June 13th, her roommate called ACO Steve Nichols and asked that he come pick up the puppies. He told her he would NOT come pick them up and she would have to bring them to him. Chelsea then called ACO Steve Nichols and asked that he come pick them up because she was at work until later that afternoon. Chelsea said Steve became rude and again refused to come pick them up. He then begins to harass her about why she felt it necessary to “pick the dogs up out of the road” and why it was her “responsibility to save them”. He said he would try to make it that afternoon if possible. I immediately called and left a message with his immediate supervisor, Officer Wakefield. Around 1pm that afternoon Officer Wakefield got in touch with me and said ACO Nichols had picked up the dogs. I expressed to him the problem was that he first refused 2 times and harassed her about picking up the dogs. He told me he was unsure of the policy and would call me back and let me know. He did phone back and say there was no policy regarding this and ACO Nichols should have picked the dogs up right away.
The first photo is of the 2 puppies in Chelsea’s possession on June 13th. The second two photos are of the puppies 3 days after being in ACO Nichols care taken by Skiatook Paws and Claws Admins and posted on their Facebook page. The third set of photos is today, June 23rd, only 11 days after being in ACO Nichols care.
Skiatook Citizens, this is NOT worms, this is not a SICK puppy, this is a mistreated, uncared for, malnourished puppy at the hands of YOUR /OUR ACO officer. This is unacceptable behavior! This behavior has been reported before in regards to ACO Nichols and was “taken care of” but your superior officers. THIS MUST STOP! There are more than plently of qualified personal that would love the job ACO Nichols seems to hate so much. People that would take care of these animals in the short time they are in the care of the City. I urge you, as will I, contact your Police Supervisors, your Police Chief, your City Mayor, your City Manager, and your City Council, demand that ACO Nichols be terminated and replaced with a qualified person that will do the job with care and passion that these animals in OUR city deserve.
THIS MUST STOP. NOW.
A extremely concerned citizen of Skiatook, OK and an advocate for the animals of this great City!
