DISGUSTING: Gov. Pritzker's new legislation push to punish businesses

William J. KellyChicago, IL, United States
May 22, 2020

We cannot accept CRUMBS from Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and we cannot accept it from Mayor Lori Lightfoot either. Sadly, that is all Illinois businesses and residents got this week.

Tiny victory. Gov. Pritzker's emergency order to punish small businesses with jail time was reversed...for now. But the word is, Gov. Pritzker is working on legislation to punish small businesses and residents instead. He won't use an emergency order this time. His Democrat Party allies will push through punishing legislation to destroy businesses and jobs.

What does Gov. Pritzker's PHASE 3 REOPENING really mean for Illinois at the end of this month? It means gatherings of 10 or fewer. Restaurants can operate outside IF tables are six feet apart and six feet FROM THE SIDEWALK. Hair salons, barbers are subject to social distancing rules. Same with non-essential businesses - 10 people or fewer inside a business. This will destroy restaurants and businesses across Illinois. Contact tracing policies are being implemented to invade privacy rights and track citizens. The technocrats see this crisis as their opportunity to monitor everyday citizens.

Mayor Lightfoot is also stopping Chicago restaurants from opening at all - despite the Governor's nonsensical concession to restaurants. Illinois children still cannot attend school. No playgrounds open statewide. No lakefront or beaches in Chicago open this summer. All public festivals banned. Mandatory mask-wearing. This is insanity. We must fight back and do it now.
