Dear President Nelson,

While we appreciate the church’s efforts to “correct”  Page 24 of the 2020 Come Follow Me LDS Manual for Individuals and Families ONLINE. NOT recalling the PRINTED manuals with the incorrect information is wrong. It marginalizes all members of the church who identify as people of color.

We are devastated we must continue to defend and dispel this FALSE TEACHING!  This will only perpetuate the long abandoned “curse of black skin” teaching amongst church members.

The gospel teaches us that we are all equal in the sight of God, but ignorant and racist members of the church will seize this mistake as an opportunity to further divide people of color from the fullness of the everlasting gospel. 

Please, please, RECALL and DESTROY the printed manuals with the error.
