Every year roughly 50,000 dogs are killed for food at the annual Chinese 'Yulin' festival. The dogs used are either local strays or often family pets taken from the streets. Multiple innocent dogs are forced into the same cage while they await to be beaten and slaughtered. Some dogs are often cooked alive.
