A quick THANK YOU for asking Staunton City Council to fully funding our schools for the upcoming school year. Our petition has blasted past 1,000 and is now quickly heading towards 1,500 signatures. 

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS: Please share this petition at least one more time with friends & family. Include a personal message saying why you need them to sign.

1: Attend the City Council Meeting, tomorrow, Thursday. Work session (where the school's budget will be debated) starts at 5:10 and you are welcome to listen in. Find out which members aren’t pushing to fund our schools. Regular meeting starts at 7:30 and you can speak then if you wish. To attend via Zoom, use this link. 

2. Join the facebook group “Fully Fund Staunton Schools”

3. Put up a yard sign: The sign say “Fully Fund Staunton City Schools”. Contact members of the above facebook group to get one.

5. Contact your council members via facebook if you've already tried sending emails (here's a link with all City Council names and contacts)

6. Run for City Council or Mayor in the next election: If our City Council doesn't fully fund our schools, we need to vote them out. Did you know that the difference between the winners and the losers in the last election was 27 votes? This petition is over a thousand people strong at this point and we need people like us who are willing to support our children to be leading this City.

We can do this! The children of this community are worth it.
