At the Feb. 4th community meeting, the Chicago Park District and Ald. Capplemean agreed to gather community comments on the four building options presented until Feb. 28th. We are counting on you to review, refine, and make recommendations on the four options presented. This information will be used to move forward with a strong community engagement process for shaping our community center’s future.
What building option makes the most sense? For renovation, existing programs, and park use? Financially? We've talked with many park patrons, Kuumba Lynx, and Garfield-Clarendon Model Railroad Club, and we've talked with a lot of architects. The overwhelming feedback validated one building option as the best choice: Existing Building: Limited Remodel.
We hope you agree, click on the comments link below, and send in your thoughts to the form on the 46th Ward website. We would also appreciate you sharing your comments with us at clarendonparkadvisorycouncil@gmail.com.
If you were unable to attend the meeting, you can view the presentation here or watch the entire meeting here.
