In Scotland, the Scottish Government has introduced the Brewers Support Fund, providing direct grants to small breweries of up to £30,000. We believe that the Treasury should introduce the same support to help all small breweries to survive the Covid-19 pandemic.

Small breweries have not received the same level of support during the Covid-19 pandemic as the wider hospitality sector and with the closure of pubs have lost 80% of their business. They have also had to pour away millions of pints of beer which cannot be sold but have not received compensation.
