Sign this petition and write directly to the President of Rutgers University  to restore  the Center for Women's Global Leadership (CWGL)as a vital force in the international Women’s Movement

We understand that leadership at Rutgers University precipitously  shutdown the global programs and terminated  the program staff of CWGL more than two weeks ago. Grants were committed and CWGL  can continue to be an important space for feminist leaders across the globe to strategize and build coalitions for human rights and economic justice with proper support from the Rutgers administration. Without CWGL, we would not have had the !6 Days of Activism against gender based violence , the GEAR campaign that led to the creation of UN Women, cutting edge feminist economic thinking, innumerable spaces to strengthen feminist leadership and more.

Feminist activists and advocates can join together to let mainstream institutions like Rutgers know how important it is to retain this important space for nurturing transnational feminist thinking and activism. Join us by: a) Signing the petition attached; b) Sending a note to the Office of the President of Rutgers University [ https://bit.ly/3UvSU70 ]  demanding that staff be reinstated,  and the university throws its full support behind this important institution for gender justice and women's rights globally . We cannot sit by when crucial spaces to support courageous feminist activists around the world are being diminished!!! Please join us!
