My dear friends,

On May 30th Gov. Cooper signed a Moratorium in effect for SIX MONTHS for rent/utility relief! In the Moratorium is much of what we've asked for (no penalties, for one). However: we CANNOT and WILL NOT close this petition!! We STILL NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD and SHARE THIS! Why?

MORTGAGES are NOT included, from what I can tell. PLUS: who is to say that in 6 months the crisis will have abated? It may continue for quite some time.

We still need to circulate this petition and get it to more people all across our state, so Gov. Cooper will see he needs to issue a Moratorium for Mortgages, AND ALSO that we will continue to need these protections until the COVID19 crisis is OVER COMPLETELY! Furthermore, that these protections ARE NOT an excuse to not pay our bills but, instead, that we need extra time to continue making small payments or to receive assistance/unemployment and the safety of our shelter - our HOME - MUST NOT be threatened in the meantime. 

So PLEASE SHARE this petition all over social media - even once on 1 venue helps a lot! And lets get the word out there that WE ALL need these protections during this crisis.
