My Dear Friends,

Just a quick note to let you know that due to our Semi SUCCESS on May 30th (see previous update), I have added a link and changed some words around in the Petition to reflect the continuing need for Mortgage relief, AND to emphasise the critically unliveable, astonomical rent situation in NC. 

While rents were in the stratosphere before COVID19 crisis, landlords are now trying to make up for lost income on the backs of renters, in order to continue making their mortgage payments, in an all too familiar domino-effect.

The immediate problem is that the crisis has not abated, and without a similar Moratorium homeowners -whether they're landlords or not - will lose the safety of their home(s). And so, too, will any renters who thought they'd be protected by the Moratorium, when their landlords are foreclosed upon by the banks/lenders.

Therefore, it is CRITICAL & urgent that Governor Cooper also enact a Moratorium for homeowners for Mortgage relief, just like the recent one for renters! 

So PLEASE... please continue to SHARE this Petition on every social media venue you belong to. Even sharing just once will help greatly! TOGETHER we are #NCstrong - we CAN DO this! We CAN help homeowners! We proved it by signing and sharing this Petition & then seeing Gov. Cooper enacting the May 30th Rent & Utility Moratorium!
