Christianity suffered a great loss April 15, 2019. The Notre Dame Cathedral was maliciously engulfed in flames.

This attack against the Christian faith comes at a time where we are weighing all considerations and peoples above the one faith that stabilized civilization — moreover, the world.

At a time when ugly blocky buildings are being erected all across the West, we must reject this. We cannot allow the state and the secularists to influence the rebuilding of Notre Dame in a negative way. We must restore the Gothic architecture and its tribute to Heaven. We cannot allow postmodernism to further influence the church with its modern gross looking buildings.

• Newt Gingrich: "Tragic loss of Notre Dame. One of Christianity’s greatest churches and symbols. It must be rebuilt “as it was, where it was”. We should all help. Notre Dame belongs to humanity and humanity should rebuild it."
• President Emmanuel Macron: "This Notre-Dame Cathedral, we will rebuild it. All together. This is part of our French destiny. I am committed to this: from tomorrow a national subscription will be launched, and far beyond our borders."
• French billionaire François-Henri Pinault: "My father (François Pinault) and myself have decided to release a sum of €100 million from our Artemis funds (the family holding company) to participate in the effort that will be necessary for the complete reconstruction of Notre-Dame."
• Fashion tycoon Bernard Arnault: "The Arnault family and the LVMH group would like to show their solidarity at this time of national tragedy, and are joining up to help rebuild this extraordinary cathedral, which is a symbol of France, of its heritage and of French unity," donating €200 million.

Additionally, can we really trust France to manage this project? They should consider turning over the cathedral to a Christian trust or the Vatican.
