CONSULTATION MEETINGS COMING SOON

Hello everyone It has been a while since I updated you on the latest position regarding the Cleft Surgical Service Review. The review group met in December and meet again sometime in May at which time they will decide whether or not to recommend the merger and move the proposal to the next stage. So far we have succeeded in delaying any decision, a small victory but not enough; we need to halt this process completely. The NHS agreed that wider consultation was required and we were given assurances that every cleft patient/parent would be notified personally on how they could take part in the review and attend public consultation meetings. There seems little evidence of this as the majority of patients have still not been notified. Yesterday I checked Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Grampian, Fife, Lothian and Borders Health Boards individual websites and could not find any information regarding the proposed changes! TV INTERVIEW TONIGHT at 10 pm on STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh news Huge thank you to Dana, Jonathon and their daughter Millie~Beau for taking part in the STV programme. The proposal and petition were briefly discussed yesterday on Good Morning Britain and we were expecting Dana’s interview to be aired tonight on the 6 pm STV news, however, it has now been confirmed that it will be on the 10 pm STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh news (Freeview channel 23, sky channel 117 and virgin 159). It will also be available on youtube at some point. Don't forget to watch!
