Almost 2500 signatures - can we make it 2500?

At the time of writing this we only need 78 signatures to reach 2500 signatures. This is fantastic especially as we have relied entirely on Facebook and Twitter and it has taken less than 3 weeks. But we still need your help (don’t worry it’s not money) - we believe that there are still families who don’t know about the proposed changes. We are trying to get something in the newspapers in the hope they will be informed. Two papers have interviewed but haven’t printed yet. So, please if you know a family with a cleft child talk to them, make sure they know about the petition and proposed changes and advise them to contact CLAPA for more information. It is vital they get involved before it is too late. We also need you to share with your friends on Facebook and Twitter or in person and get them to sign the petition not just 1 per family but all of them and encourage meaningful comments e.g. My friend is a non- driver and transport to Glasgow would be a huge issue, increase time off school/work for extra travelling, expense and number of bus changes or I have 2/3/4 other children and no-one to support me if I am in Glasgow rather than Edinburgh. We need to show why this is a mistake rather than just say I/we don't want this so I'm signing a petition. If you have a famous person as a friend then please share the petition with them too. We are running out of time so please don't put this off. Nudge your friends again. It could be their family member who needs a surgical service in the future. It is cleft services today who knows what it will be tomorrow? Thank you all for signing our petition and continuing to support our fight.
