Build a bike path on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge

The Issue

The people of Brooklyn, Staten Island, and central New Jersey face a problem every day when they want to travel between Brooklyn and Staten Island by foot or by bike. Over 200,000 vehicles use the bridge every day, but there is no way for pedestrians or cyclists to cross over it. The original plans for the bridge, by city planner Robert Moses, included a bikepath and walkway on both sides, but they were eliminated for economic reasons. The MTA is now planning to extensively renovate the bridge. Let's convince them to build the pathway that was originally left out!
