Reject plans to introduce any kind of fee on visits to a General Practitioner.

This would be a huge step backwards for all of the 60+ years of progress that the NHS has made. It is simply a huge leap into the privatisation and Americanisation of the system, and has very little public support or support from doctors and professionals.
It would penalise the sickly who would obviously have to pay more for more frequent visits. Amongst the backdrop of cuts to other public services, the bedroom tax, the new botched PIP system etc. a large percentage of people will find it very hard to find the money for this and it is our tax money that should be helping these people when they need it the most.
The message is clear. The British people care about our NHS.
The British Medical Association are meeting to discuss and vote on this matter within the month.
We compel them to say no to these charges, and to the carving up of the NHS.
