CTM monopoly in travel related Covid tests is finally broken. We now have alternative providers of test kits needed on return to the UK. While costs have come down, they are still higher than other European countries. The two tests on return to the UK, especially the day 2 test do not make sense. The UK government is urged to lift the 2-test rule and just have the one 5th day test to release.

In the meantime travellers continue to face huge challenges at UK airports.
