As I write this message, the death toll in Gaza is almost 250. By the time you have read this, it may have risen to 300, or 500, or even 1000 for all I know.

Some weeks ago, 3 Israeli teens were kidnapped and subsequently murdered in an abhorrent crime that shocked the world and was condemned universally by world leaders (including Palestinian leaders). However Israel's resaponse was to brutally and savagely raid Plaestinian Cities, towns and villages resulting in the abduction of hundreds if not thousands of innocent civilians. They then began to srike The Gaza Strip (one of the most densely populated areas in the world) by land, sea and air. As a result, almost 250 Plaestinians have been killed (so far) according to Gazan officials. The UN estimate 80% of casualties are civilians, and a high proportion of these are children. Believe it or not, Israel commits all of this savagery in the name of self-defense and prevention of terrorism! 

Gaza has no airforce, Gaza has no navy, Gaza has no army. This is not a war, this is the systematic and indiscriminate wiping out of the civilian population of Gaza.  

As the Israel's helicopters encircle Gaza, as the tanks pound Gaza from the border, as the naval vessels fire mortar shell after mortar shell at Gaza, and tragically, as the ground invasion of Gaza commences, I urge the all the peoples of the world to come together in a united stand in solidarity with the Palestinians and in opposition to the crimes committed by the Israeli military.

To that end:

• I call on the government which represents me: the British Government to break with tradition and express it's opposition to the brutal murder of innocent Palestinian civilians.
• I call on the British Government to expel the entire Israeli diplomatic mission to the United Kingdom from this country.
• I call on the British Government to refuse to sell arms to the Israeli military as it has shamelessly done in the past, and encourage other countries to do the same.
• I call on the British Government to, in coordination with the EU, USA and international community, to impose trade sanction of Israel until the Israeli Government agrees to end the siege on Gaza and make a genuine effort for a lasting peace. 

I believe that it is only through these measures that Gaza and it's innocent civilians can be saved and a lasting, universal peace can be achieved.

I urge all who read this message to sign this petition and share it with as many people as possible to build pressure on the governments of the world, who seem content to idly stand by while hundreds of innocents are slaughtered for crimes they did not committ.

The aims of this petiotion may seem far-fetched and unlikely, but if we get enough signatures, the governments of the world will have no choice but to sit up and take notice!
