Superintendents are tasked with three duties: keeping students safe, educating them, and fiscal stewardship. Dr. Hite has failed at all three. 

The report released by the Inspector General in August 2020 highlights the incompetence of District Leadership, pointing directly at the negligence of our superintendent who knowingly placed children in life-threatening, potentially fatal conditions daily.

Dr. Hite and Cabinet Chiefs have ignored repeated requests to create a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office, despite numerous accounts of racial injustice, assaults, and social inequities in our schools by student victims.

Mismanagement of academic resources and staff have contributed to stagnant student achievement. Since 2014 -15, ELA scores have only increased by 2% and math by 4%.

In 2019 while school budgets were slashed and schools went sorely lacking in personnel and resources, Hite lavishly spent $604,000 to renovate his office suite.
