The reason I am attempting to have Fayette County Public Schools be out if the weather is 15 degrees or colder has many reasons. For example, from experience when I am standing outside, waiting for my bus, even with a coat on I am freezing. With many dress code's at different schools, winter apparel is not permitted in the building. For example, at Jessie Clark Middle School the students are not aloud to wear coats in the building, it is to be put in the locker as soon as you arrive. Also, it is a struggle for students in Middle School to fit it in the half sized locker along with other everyday belongings and supplies. And we cant forget about high schoolers, most students don't have a locker unless they paid for one so it is and extra hassle to carry a large coat around all day.  Another reason is, parents begin to worry if there kids will have the correct clothing to stay warm. Although most families can afford to support themselves and buy warm winter clothes, some families struggle to buy all of there kids good winter coats that will actually keep them warm enough throughout the day. Lastly, students are walking outdoors quite a bit during the day. For example, some students have to walk to school because of many reasons. Therefore they shouldn't be forced to walk in weather that is this cold. Also, many schools have portables that students walk back and forth from through the day. As I come to the end of my argument, I would like to have The Board Of Education to consider the following topics I have discussed.
