There has been news of Oswego High School students no longer being able to carry around a backpack during the school day. Backpacks help students become more organized and efficient while also assisting the teachers by reducing the amount of locker visits. Backpacks also prevent materials from getting lost, providing ease of mind for the student. While the safety of our students is important, there are several other ways to prevent safety hazards that do not include limiting the convenience of a backpack to a locker.
