UPDATE... EmBark Dog Rescue (formally Tracy's Dog's) was dissolved in December of 2023. The donation's that were given by loyal followers have never been used for their intended purpose, nor accounted for. The social media accounts, which contain historical information, such as videos and photos of previous adoptions, and 
a database of all the former adopted dogs, which includes 600 dogs that were never registered, and remain at risk should they become lost, have also never been released. After years of numerous attempts by the donors/followers as to what has happened to the funds and past content, their inquiries have continually gone unanswered. 

Once again the signers of this petition are imploring this now defunct non profit to do what is fair and just.

Original contents.. In the fall of 2019 Tracy's Dogs, a San Antonio based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN #452766874 (now known as EmBark Dog Rescue) had a dispute, whereas the founder of the organization Tracy Voss, was forced to split from her old rescue and created a new one, Tracy's Paws Rescue, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization #84-3933841, to continue her love of helping dogs.

 

At the time of the split there were assets that were intended to be used to help rescue dogs, including $193,000 which was raised during The Big Give fundraiser in March of 2019. These funds were donated in good faith by many loyal supporters, with the intention that they would be used to build The Milton, a new facility to house more dogs, and expand the efforts to save dogs in the south Texas area. These donations have yet to be used for their intended purpose. EmBark Rescue, it's president Scott Whyatt, Leslie Eugenio Bloom (board president), and Amber Hodgson (volunteer legal council for the rescue) are still holding these funds, and it appears they haven't rescued a dog since April of 2020, whereas Tracy's Paws Rescue is moving forward on their own to build The Milton, and continuing to save dogs. These funds could, and should be used for the purpose in which they were given. According to their IRS 990 form, Tracy's Dogs (EmBark) has spent $56,000 in legal fees, money that was meant to help the needy dogs. Many donors have contacted EmBark Rescue, namely Leslie Eugenio-Bloom, acting board chair, to inquire about their donations and to ask that they be returned to their rightful owners (the dogs) and these requests have continually gone unanswered and/or unresolved.

EmBark is also holding numerous other assets that are supposed to be used to help dogs, listed below.

•  A transport van, that is sitting unused.
•  Social media accounts, which contain historical information, such as videos and photos of previous adoptions.
• A database of all the former adopted dogs, which includes 600 dogs that were never registered, and remain at risk should they become lost. This database is attached to a non working email, and the name of Tracy Voss, who cannot help due to the fact that she has no access to said database.

The signers of this petition are asking to have the above assets along with the 2019 Big Give fundraiser donations, transferred to Tracy's Paws Rescue, who remains active in the mission of saving dogs, and will make sure that all donations and assets be used for their original purpose.
