Last September, there were reports that a "Big 4 of '90s Punk Rock" tour featuring Bad Religion, The Offspring, Green Day and Rancid was in the works. Reports said it's inspired by the "Big 4 of Thrash Metal tour" (featuring Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax) and that fans want all those bands to tour together because of the fact that they popularized the California punk movement and helped revive that genre in 1994, the same year each band began achieving mainstream success.

As quoted from the now-deleted The Big 4 of '90s Punk Rock Facebook page:

"The goal is to recruit as many members to the you-know-what as possible in order to get all those bands to listen to what we have to say. We want old school punk back. We would love to see this touring lineup record any live concert for a DVD just like Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax and Slayer did. Another goal is to get the four back together and save punk once again."

I agree. We do want old school '90s punk back. Having a "Big 4 of '90s Punk Rock" tour featuring Bad Religion, The Offspring, Green Day and Rancid all over the world would love and never forget. They're all amazing bands, they're icons, they helped shape the '90s and influenced/inspired many new acts. The tour's definitely gotta happen.
