KEEP THE FREE TV LICENCE FOR THE OVER 75's IN THE UK

The Issue

The TV is a lifeline to millions of people who are aged 75 or over. In most cases, they have paid contributions for over 50 years in taxes and continue to do so with various products incurring a tax charge even after retirement. The TV is the only interaction some pensioners get with what's going on in the world due to health issues such as mobility problems, depression or fear of going out due to their local area not feeling safe - sometimes at night but also sometimes during the day. Just because a pensioner over 75 doesn't qualify for Pension Credit does not mean they are well off. If you want to make cut backs, can I suggest you begin with the likes of Gary Lineker and his estimated £1.8m annual salary first.
