In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic it is vital that the Bala Lake Railway is extended into the town of Bala to welcome visitors. In so doing it will help regenerate local businesses and create new jobs. 

With in excess of £1.2M already spent this is a one off capital project. Once completed it is done for ever and will be completely sustainable. It will make Bala a place of destination where visitors can come and enjoy all that the town and the lake has to offer.

Heritage Railways are a well known and successful form or tourist attraction in supporting rural economies.

With the expectation of up to 55,000 visitors per annum this will inject in excess of £1.25M each and every year into the town and surrounding businesses.
