In 2015, Australia was announced as an entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, confusing multiple people worldwide and forever confusing geography students all over the planet. Guy Sebastian was announced as our entrant and thus led our country to an adequate fifth place.

In November of that same 2015, it was also announced Australia would be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest the following year, set to be held in Stockholm. What better man to represent Australia have than the pride and joy of Condobolin, NSW and Australian Idol 2003 runner-up, Shannon Noll. Can you honestly think of one man that embodies the Australian ideals of persistence and mateship more than Shannon Noll? A measly fifth place wouldn't be enough for Nollsy, the man would very well lead us to 1st given his calibre.

We the people of Australia beg you, send Shannon Noll to Eurovsion. Nothing would make us prouder than seeing Nollsy onstage belting his heart out in Stockholm. Make it so that all of Europe will stop to watch Australia shine on the world stage. After all, as the man himself says: "What about me?"
