Petition updateAUSTRALIAN KINSHIP CARERS NEED YOUR HELPFlower drop at Parliament house Canberra Initiated by Australian Grandparent/kinship carers

Sue ErbenFinley, Australia

May 26, 2018
On the 31st of May this year when the Australian Senate sits in Canberra, Grandparent & Kinship carers across Australia are urged to send a Purple –for carers- & Yellow – for kinkids- flower to be delivered to the steps of Parliament house. We will no longer be the silent majority of carers of vulnerable children in Australia.
We are the voice of these children, we have their best interests as our priority, and we deserve to be respected and acknowledged and financially supported, as we are part of the solution. We need the public to realise things are not equitable, and the children need change NOW for them to reach their full potential.
We are using the Embassy Florist in Canberra to deliver our flowers. Please have your presence felt by ordering flowers that represent your family to be delivered on Thursday May 31st. Many cannot drop everything to be physically there on the day, but this is a way to show the public and the government that we are many and we will no longer remain the silent majority. #ImOneOfMany
