Every 10 seconds animals are shot, stabbed, and starved to death in this country. Animal Cruelty is very common nowadays. There will always be someone who has done something vicious to a pet or animal. How can I prevent or make people aware of this issue by writing this project? I believe that animal abuse should be stopped by creating animal shelters. In this project, I plan to create a petition. In this petition, I will explain how animal abuse should not be ignored. People should support the ASPCA because they fight against animal abuse and rescue those animals in need of homes.
Just imagine a kitten two to three months old, wandering around the streets somewhere. This creature could have been abused or abandoned. With no food, water or someone to take care of it, it could die. A little kitten like that can’t take care of themselves. That’s why the ASPCA and many shelters across the world help homeless animals that are at risk, find loving homes. I recently just adopted a kitten and it was the best decision of my life. Just knowing that you can save an animal just by adopting them makes me extremely happy. Keep in mind that not just cats are homeless, dogs are too.
This organization I am supporting in this project stands for American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The ASPCA was the first organization to be established in North America. Now, it is one of the largest companies in the world. The organization was launched because they believed that animals deserve respect and care by humans and protected by law. According to the ASPCA website, they have rescued or assisted 11,503 animals, 4,290 animals from the adoption center, $14 million given to animal welfare organizations, and 85,151 spray or neuter surgeries performed. I support the ASPCA because animal abuse deserves to be stopped and I believe that this organization has done a lot and will continue to strive and stop this issue. Many websites also support the ASPCA and what they do.
