We Want Charles (Chuck) Gallyon to Stay!

We Want Charles (Chuck) Gallyon to Stay!
The Issue
This petition is starting because The Art Institutes schools are now a division of another EDMC school, Argosy University. This new development will change the Art Institutes academic structure to coincide with Argosy University. This change in the academic structure will result in laying off all current academic directors. As of now most majors have a dedicated academic director/advisor and with the new structure, alike majors will be combined into four categories, Culinary, Fashion, Media Arts and Design. Each department will have only one Academic director; Media Arts will also have a Program Coordinator to assist the academic director. The new structure means the Art Institutes have to make the new positions available for all qualified people to apply.
This is where your help is needed:
Students have shown a great deal of disapproval in the change which lays-off the academic director that most have established a working relationship with, specifically, Charles (Chuck) Gallyon, who is the current Academic Director for the Digital Photography Program. Mr. Gallyon has been an active advisor for not only the digital photography students, but also a great mediator for students in other programs such as culinary and fashion students as well. Mr. Gallyon has been a positive enforcement for the students attending the school and that is why students do not want to lose.
Charles Gallyon has applied for both the new Academic director and Program Coordinator positions for the Media Arts department. If you believe he should stay a leader for the Media Arts please sign this petition to help reinforce his need at this school.
The new Media Arts Department includes:
Digital Photography-Associate of Science AND Bachelor of Science
Digital Filmmaking & Video Production-Bachelor of Science
Game Art & Design-Bachelor of Science
Media Arts & Animation-Bachelor of Science
Visual & Game Programming-Bachelor of Science
Visual Effects & Motion Graphics-Bachelor of Science
Web Design & Interactive Media-Associate of Science AND Bachelor of Science
Web Design & Interactive Communications-Diploma
