I’m hearing harrowing screams from a greyhound locked in a shed at times I’ve thought he was dying. On 1st March night he was locked in from 5pm until 6pm the next day. It was a frosty night. I couldn’t sleep through the night thinking he had died. The next day his screams were less frequent and feeble.

Was then let in for the next night after 25 hours in a shed in frost. I really believe this dog is going to die. I’ve looked at the guidelines and it says this even though greyhounds have a fur coat, it’s extremely thin and will not protect them from extreme elements....greyhounds left outside can get frostbite and freeze to death’  The dog screams all day. I have reported to RSPCA and welfare and apparently it’s ok to leave outside. 

ive asked for an email address to send recordings of screaming and abuse but to date they have not sent it. (I DO HAVE SEVERAL RECORDINGS OF THIS DOG SCREAMING AND WIMPERING IN PAIN BUT CANNOT UPLOAD TO THIS SITE).

its also legal to leave a dog for 24 hours. Anything over that is illegal. Everything is now a process so we have to wait for days even weeks for someone to check the dog is ok. If you have never heard a dog scream, which I hadn’t, it’s kind of like listening to a seagull. The greyhound is still locked in could even die. Please if the law needs changing let’s push it for the animals we are supposed to be caring about.
