Shut down Service Dog Registry Scam Website

The Issue

Service dogs are dogs specifically trained to assist people with disabilities, so their lives can be slightly easier.

As wholesome and wonderful as this idea is, sick individuals took advantage of the lure of bringing dogs with them to scam uneducated individuals into thinking their dog is suddenly a service dog. They charge people to get an "I.D" for their service dog, advertising that they will be listed in a registry, which is a scam, its taking your money.

The Americans with Disabilities Act is in charge if setting federal laws for service animals, and on their official page, they state the following:

"There are individuals and organizations that sell service animal certification or registration documents online. These documents do not convey any rights under the ADA and the Department of Justice does not recognize them as proof that the dog is a service animal."

So.... What's the issue?

Putting the fact aside people are getting scammed of their money, some people can't function like others, whether they're prone to psychiatric episodes, medical episodes, or the lack of mobility, service animals can be trained to help someone regain their independence, to function more normally.

Fake service dogs, are a HUGE issue. Fake service dogs attacking other people and dogs are NOT uncommon, a single attack can traumatize a service dog and require them to retire from their line of work, because they develop issues of their own. Companies are forbidden from asking for certificatoon, it is illegal, however this stops no one, and service dog handlers constantly face harassment from the public, demanding certification or other things. Sometimes they are denied access for not having certification. How do people with their "registered" Service dog contribute to this? If someone asks for certification, and it's shown to them, this reinforces the idea that certification is required. Which leads to further harassment

Having a dog with you all the time is a great idea in question, however, having a service dog is NOT quirky and it is NOT a trend, they hold the same value in laws as a wheelchair or oxygen tank, these dogs are NOT there for fun, their there for someone who isn't as privileged as the main population, and cannot function right without these dogs.

Do not make life harder for these individuals, and do not get scammed, let's shut these websites down for good!
