Allow active coaches to be eligible for the Pro Football HOF after 25 years of service

The Issue

The current requirement that a player or coach must have been retired for at least five years is unfair to coaches whose body of work is deserving of enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame but choose to continue to work at the job they have devoted their life to.

Current coaches like Bill Belichick or Dick LeBeau (2010 HOF Class as a Player) or recently retired coaches like Tom Coughlin should be immediately eligible for selection to the HOF.

Professional Football Coaches should be eligible after 25 years of active service or when they have been retired for at least five years which ever comes first.
