The only part of our agreement that my children’s adoptive parents have almost always kept, is the very brief updates that tell me absolutely nothing about their life and their psychosocial, mental and emotional development, which I am most invested in. They’ve used every other excuse to get out of their commitment, and obligations to me that actually take time out of the busy life that my sacrifice gave them, yet they disregard that.
