I hope to take this petition to parliament and lobby for change for very antiquated and outdated adoption laws that are not meeting the needs of the very complex dynamic between adoptive parents, children and birth family. These children are facing so much confusion and loss of identity that is severely impacting their mental health in a world where mental health is already on a steady decline and it’s not fair to them for adoptive parents to do that.
