The Tony-winning, gender-swapped, Sondheim-blessed 2022 Broadway revival of Company has been a landmark production for so many reasons. Now that its (premature) closing date has been announced, it would be a travesty of epic theatrical proportions for this particular company of Company to split ways and not leave its tremendous fan base with a cast recording to preserve this production's beautiful orchestrations and this specific cast's pitch-perfect sound. We need Katrina Lenk's "Being Alive." We need Matt Doyle's "Not Getting Married." We need this album to preserve the final Broadway production of a Sondheim show that Sondheim himself approved and blessed.
