Thanks again to everyone who signed the petition and helped save the traumatic brain injury unit and neuro outpatients at Nottingham City Hospital. We couldn't have done it without your amazing support and by sharing your incredible stories. You really made the difference! But ...I need your help again! I am returning to university shortly to finish my Psychology degree and I am going to carry out a piece of research based on my experience of brain injury. I have been so inspired by your stories that I would like to preserve and share these for the benefit of others who will go through something similar in the future. I am looking to make sure the voices of all those involved in TBIs are heard, but especially the voices of carers who often get ignored. You know so much about what brain injury patients go thorough and the impact it has on you as well. So I am going to need your help to share your stories! If you are willing to help with this research by sharing your experiences as a carer, friend, family member or supporter of a brain injury survivor then please get in touch! If you are happy to be interviewed to talk about your experiences then let me know as son as possible. You all have such amazing stories and I would like to be able to use these as part of my research. All your contributions will be treated with strict confidentiality and with your informed consent in accordance with university ethical guidelines and anonymised for the purposes of the research. To find out more and to sign up if you are interested in taking part and being interviewed as part of my research please email: tbiresearch@yahoo.com Thank you all again!
