Thane Municipal Corporation has proposed a multi faith crematorium for Thane in Bhayander pada, Ghodbunder Road.

However, the place being considered for the crematorium is in middle of residential complexes & is causing fear, anxiousness, depression for thousands of families with children living in the locality. There was no knowledge of the project as it was planned for a different location earlier. The area still does not have any basic facilities like water, Park, School, transportation and a move like this instead of development is unwelcome.

Hence, We request the administration & local authorities to kindly consider an alternative place for the crematorium else the residents around will be left with no option except mass protest.
