By moving the focus of education from standardized testing back to the classroom children will receive a better education whilst taxpayers see reduced financial obligation. Standardized testing is problematic in a variety of ways but two important factors include, the fact that real teaching time is being consumed by test preparation and that, testing costs have dramatically risen since the implementation of No Child Left Behind. As schools allocate more time towards test preparation they lose the opportunity to discuss more prevalent and important topics. Additionally, the state of Texas's Education Agency has entered a contract with the Educational Testing Service company that totals $275 million over a four-year span......thats a lot of dough
