Under the premise of speeding up the routes, Texas State University has quietly changed the route of several Bobcat Tram buses. The long semester routes will now match the summer semester routes, which has fewer stops due to the drop of commuters during the summer. As a result, this greatly increases the distance many students have to walk to the bus stops.

The whole point of speeding up the route is to help students commute to campus and back faster. But this is completely negated by making students add a 15 to 20 minute walk in their commute just to get to the new consolidated, more crowded bus stops.

Some students have evening classes and they would have to make the trek after dark. The situation gets even worse during inclement weather. The point of the Bobcat Tram is to be a convenience for students. Making a change that would inconvenience students is unacceptable.
