Everyday is hard. Most days it’s a challenge to get out of bed, push the pain down and try not to let the world see it. I fail miserably at doing so, most days.
I have received a few messages from folks sharing their stories with me, thank you. I wish that none of us had to go through this pain, but unfortunately we aren’t untouched anymore. It’s hard to bare your soul for folks to see, but it’s necessary. Unless you have been affected personally by murder, it’s hard to understand.
My hope is through my writing, sharing memories and how I feel, that I can inspire a state of warriors to stand beside every victims loved ones in the state of Texas, and eventually our nation, to speak out for change.
I have always been a firm believer that we, the people, have a right to help facilitate changes that are needed. Our voices matter. If we stand tall together, a united front, we can make changes happen.
This Law isn’t just about our pain or the others affected by my daughters murder, it is about every citizen. It is about the safety of your loved ones, your neighbors, church family, work family, community, etc. It is about us saying, enough is enough! We, the people, have a right to be protected from a confessed murderer/ killer.
If you have been affected personally, by murder, please share your stories, include them with your emails to your state representatives. If enough people stand together, we can and will make a difference.
Thank you for signing and sharing and encouraging others to do so.
