Will the Texas Rangers stand up against anti-gay bullying and homophobia in sports?

The San Francisco Giants have become the first pro sports team to create an “It Gets Better” video to stand up against the bullying of gay kids -- and now fans and the media are wondering if other baseball teams like the Rangers are going to follow their lead.

The Rangers can help lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth understand that suicide is not the answer to their pain. The Rangers are real heroes to many people in Texas and have a voice. Please use that voice to let LGBT kids know that suicide is not an option that over time "It Gets Better"

Dear Texas Rangers,

The San Francisco Giants have become the first pro sports team to create an “It Gets Better” video to stand up against the bullying of gay kids -- and now fans and the media are wondering if other baseball teams like the Rangers are going to follow their lead.

You guys are real heroes to many people here in Texas and have a voice. Please use that voice to let lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth kids know that suicide is not an option that over time "It Gets Better." You can show LGBT youth that as they get older, more and more people will be educated about who they are and why they are different.

That's why we think the the Texas Rangers should step up to the plate and record their own "It Gets Better" message against anti-gay bullying.
